A Great Source For Fun, Casual Gaming

I’m a big fan of idle, casual gaming. I enjoy games I can play in a browser without having to download games and waste space on my PC or cell phone.

I’ve mentioned this topic a few times in the past and will always point my readers to a new source when I find them. I found the mother lode at https://mortgagecalculator.org/money-games/. I’ve tested a bunch of games out and review a few that caught my eyes.

Idle Megamall Empire

I’ve always enjoy tower building games. There have been some in the past, but they can be intense with a lot of dead spots and unhappy tenants and business owners. This one lets you manage businesses and upgrade shops with a click of a mouse.

I enjoy the managing and idle aspect of the progression you can earn when you are away from the game. I haven’t seen this with any tower game I’ve played in the past. The more you upgrade stores, elevators and managers, the more money you earn while sitting idle.

Web Tycoon Simulator

This game is an clicker game that has an idle aspect to the game. As a person who runs his own web business, the theme really hit close to home. The more upgrades you buy, whether it be a server or advertising, the more you earn per manual click or when its idle. It’s a simple, yet fun game to play on your browser.

Wind & Solar

I initially thought this was going to be more of an idle, casual game, but it’s an game where you maximize the amount of energy you produce. You have to continually adjust the wind turbine to get the most win and place the solar panels away from the clouds. I wouldn’t say this is a long-term game to play, but if you have a dozen minutes of free time, it’s an entertaining game.

Corporate Overlord

I mentioned my lover of tower games above, and Corporate Overlord is a different kind of tower game. You have to build businesses and upgrade each one by investing into research and development. You have different goals that are needed before you can add certain businesses, It’s a fun business strategy tower game that I could see myself playing for hours.

Air Traffic Control

This game seems rather topical for what is going on right now. You have to direct the flight patterns and landings of different airplanes coming in. The game can be pretty crazy with many planes coming within close distances of each other. There are many different levels and locations that you will need to pass. It can become pretty intense with even helicopters flying in the path of many different planes. I can see why the air traffic controller job can be a difficult profession.

I Found a New Source for Browser-Based Games

I have posted numerous times about my love for browser-based games. I enjoy playing them and the look of the games just hits all the nostalgia spots on my brain and soul.

I grew up with console games and have owned just about every generation, but my first true love was computer games. I’m not talking about the games where you need the highest-of-high-end graphics cards and all the RAM available in your county to play. I love simple games like Solitaire, Mahjong and games of that ilk.

I Found the Browser-Based Game Motherlode

This past weekend, I was searching the interwebs for some fun browser-based games. I found a few sites that had a handful of games, but I came across Plays.org, which had an epic amount of games. Their category list is massive and filled with fun games. They were even adding new games as I was browsing the list.

I used to play a lot of browser-based games in-between studying for an exam or at the tail-end of a workday while I was waiting to leave work. Sudoku was usually my go-to game to waste a few minutes.

Browser-based games are free and can run on basically any computer. You don’t need an expensive gaming computer, which is a huge bonus. They are even cross-platformed, so you can play on your phone.
