2017 NFL Week 12 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I had a pretty sad all around betting experience last weekend. I was rocked in college football and was just so-so in the NFL. I hit on a nice parlay that saved the weekend.

I’ve historically done very well on Thanksgiving. I’ve went a perfect three-for-three in many years. I can’t promise that will happen this season as Thursday games are the bane of my existence. It’s becoming a gimmick at this point.

There are quite a few double-digit point spreads this week. We will see more and more of those as teams start to drop out of playoff contention.

Can I win a damn Thursday game? Let’s do this!

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 12 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NCAA Football – Week 13 Betting Picks Against Spread

Your boy had a really rough week. I missed on a couple embarrassing blowouts, injuries hurt two games and weather was a huge factor. I thought weather would miss some of these games, but nope, the middle of the country was just pounded by rain and poor playing conditions.

It’s officially rivalry week. The country’s biggest programs face their rivals this week. These games have a reputation for being closer than normal games, but it’s not an ‘end all, be all’ rule one must obey. Good teams still blow out their rivals on a consistent basis. There is always at least one big upset to keep the attitude of ‘throw the record books out when these two teams meet’ alive.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 30 college football games against the spread in Week 13 of the NCAA Football season (November 25th, 2017). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 12

Yay! No more freakin’ bye weeks! A few of those weeks were rough, but we all hopefully survived.

Injuries are still happening at an alarming rate and the injuries to Washington RB Chris Thompson and even Miami QB Jay Cutler (in super deep leagues) can really mess with a roster. We hope to give you some streaming options for the week.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 12 of the 2017 NFL season…and enjoy our oddball triumphant MS Paint masterpiece of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

I want to explain what I mean by “sit” and “start.” Of course you are going to start some of the guys i say to bench this week, because you probably used high draft picks or a lot of money in an auction for them. My ‘sit’ players are guys I am just not completely sold that they will have good weeks. If you have a guy that you are on the fence about, maybe this will help you pick between the players.

Sports Crush: Mandy Rose

We’ve written over a dozen ‘Sports Crush’ posts since we launched AmericasWhiteBoy.com. We have spotlighted a ton of WWE Divas (Becky LynchLanaSasha BanksAlexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and others). The readers keep viewing those posts, so we will keep delivering new female wrestlers like recent WWE main roster call-up, Mandy Rose.

Rose (Amanda Saccomanno) was a contestant on ‘Tough Enough’ and finished as the runner-up. She was then on a season of ‘Total Divas’. I am usually good about putting posts up of an NXT female wrestler before they are called up, but Mandy surprisingly appeared with Paige and Sonya Deville on RAW.

Rose was a fitness competitor and from what I’ve see of her, is a very good athlete. I’m excited to see what she does on the main roster.

Check out why we are crushing on Mandy Rose with our picture gallery, and a very special .gif.

Review: WWE Survivor Series 2017

I don’t always review WWE pay-per-views, but I usually do them for the ‘Big Four’ events. ‘Survivor Series’ would need to be a great show to surpass the previous night’s ‘NXT Takeover: War Games’ event that was insanely good.

I didn’t have high hopes for ‘Survivor Series’, but there were some matches that intrigued me. Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles was the match I was most looking forward to watching. I guess there were also certain match-ups in the main event that we’ve never seen before like Braun Strowman & Shinsuke Nakamura and Triple H & Bobby Roode that occurred, which were pretty cool.

Was the 2017 ‘Survivor Series’ worth all the hype?

Getting Everything You Can Out Of Your Music

To some people, music is more than a passing interest or something that they choose to indulge in as a passive experience. Some people want a deeper connection to the music they listen to, and they can get it. You can’t fake or force a real appreciation of the music you love. You can, however, make yourself more susceptible to the most genuine of pulls.

Do away with the distraction

What else are you doing while you listen to your music? If you’re using it as background noise, you’re never going to appreciate the song for what it is. Listening to music while working can make the hours drift by much more pleasantly. If you’re working out, it can help you push harder. But if you want a better listening experience, you have to listen without your eyes constantly on your phone or your mind wandering. If you’re not used to listening to music for the music’s sake, then go to a live show. There, the crowd, the stage, and the setup are there to add to the experience, not distract from it.

2017 NFL Week 11 – Betting Picks Against Spread

I managed to not take a loss last Thursday…because it was a push. I hate Thursday games and I’ve pulled out my hair watching those games. They are just poorly played and have been difficult to handicap.

I finished last week .500, but it’s time to have a big week. I feel pretty good about the lines this week. There’s only one double-digit point spread, which is pretty rare this late in the season.

There are fourteen games on the schedule for the last week. There will be sixteen games a week starting next weekend.

Can the Patriots (-6.5) cover on the West Coast?

We pick ever NFL game against the spread and throw out a few upsets in Week 11 of the 2017 NFL season.

2017 NCAA Football – Week 12 Betting Picks Against Spread

I finished 19-10-1 last week. My strategy of staying away from Pac 12 games paid off. I did end up picking one…and lost. I don’t know what it is about that conference, but I have little confidence in my handicapping ability in the Pac 12 this season. I’ve done very well with the conference in the past, but I (sort of) know when to throw in the towel. I STILL ended up picking a Pac 12 game again this week…I just couldn’t help myself.

Last week’s experiment of picking 30 games worked in my favor. I picked an additional five games this week as well. It made my attempt at avoiding the Pac 12 rather difficult.

We at ‘America’s White Boy’ pick 30 college football games against the spread in Week 12 of the NCAA Football season (November 18th, 2017). We also pick some smaller conference games.

2017 NFL Fantasy Football Start/Sit – Week 11

This is the last week of byes, so it’s now time to start figuring out your rosters for the rest of the season. Streaming is still a viable option going forward because you’re still going to have some bad match-ups, especially with defenses and kickers. A roster should always be fluid, but after this week, you’re going to have 80% of your roster set in stone.

Carolina, Indianapolis, NY Jets and San Francisco are off this week. You will need to find replacements for studs like Panthers QB Cam Newton and Colts WR T.Y. Hilton.

Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 11 of the 2017 NFL season…and enjoy our oddball triumphant MS Paint masterpiece of New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara.

Sports Crush: Mackenzie Dern

We’ve written a handful of ‘Sports Crush’ posts since we launched ‘America’s White Boy.’ We have spotlighted a few UFC women fighters (Paige VanZant, Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate). The response has been great, so we decided to profile another talented female fighter who is now with Invicta FC, the American/Brazilian Strawweight Mackenzie Dern.

Dern is the daughter of famous grappler Wellington ‘Megaton’ Dias. She has been training since she was 3 and was the #1 ranked female in jiu-jitsu when she decided to go into mixed-martial arts in 2015.

Dern is currently 4-0 and just signed a contract with Invicta FC and will make her strawweight debut against Kaline Medeiros. The 24-year old will no doubt find her way into the UFC soon.

See why we are crushing on MMA fighter Mackenzie Dern.

Toy Crazy: Mattel’s WWE Elite Series 55

I’m a self-confessed vintage toy nerd. I collect vintage wrestling action figures from the 80’s & 90’s. I started purchasing some vintage toys out of nostalgia. Well, WWE and Mattel sucked me into their new stuff. I now buy a few figures a month. You can view photos of my collection on my Instagram account.

The lineup in WWE Elite series 55 is the second series with the new packaging. The lineup is a bit underwhelming. New collectors will enjoy the ‘American Badass’ Undertaker flashback, but it’s too much like the Elite 18 figure. Also, Enzo and Cass have had too many elites in the last year, so these might sit at retail, especially Big Cass.

The WWE Superstars included in Elite 55 are Neville, James Ellsworth, The Undertaker, Enzo Amore, Big Cass & Brock Lesnar.
