We finally don’t have to deal with any byes this week. You shouldn’t have to deal with holes in your lineup, unless you have a recently-injured player like TE Kyle Pitts or WR Wan’Dale Robinson.
You will have an awkward issue of having three games on Thursday. There are some injury question marks that play on Sunday, so should you roll the dice or play it safe by playing your backup that plays on Thanksgiving?
Now that the Niners offense is healthy, is QB Jimmy Garoppolo a must-start going forward?
Should you sit Packers QB Aaron Rodgers against the Eagles?
Here is our Fantasy Football Sit/Start for Week 12 of the 2022 NFL season…and enjoy our awesome MS Paint masterpiece of QB Jimmy Garoppolo of San Francisco 49ers.
I want to explain what I mean by “sit” and “start.” Of course you are going to start some of the guys i say to bench this week, because you probably used high draft picks or a lot of money in an auction for them. My ‘sit’ players are guys I am just not completely sold that they will have good weeks. If you have a guy that you are on the fence about, maybe this will help you pick between the players.
START’EM
- QB Jimmy Garoppolo (San Francisco 49ers) – The Niners offense is healthy and the addition of RB Christian McCaffrey brought life to the Niners offense. After Monday night’s performance, he’s a must-start against the Saints.
- WR Treylon Burks (Tennessee Titans) – Burks dealt with a foot injury to start the season, so it hindered his development. He is now up to speed and is becoming a major part of the Titans offense.
- TE Cole Kmet (Chicago Bears) – Kmet is one of the handful of tight ends that aren’t touchdown-or-bust. He’s is clearly a favorite of QB Justin Fields. Jets CB Sauce Gardner should be on WR Darnell Mooney and Fields will need an easier target. Fields playing status is up in the air, but I still like Kmet.
- RB Latavius Murray (Denver Broncos) – The Broncos released RB Melvin Gordon after his latest fumble, so Murray is officially RB1 in Denver. Backup RB Chase Edmonds could be a sneaky add in really deep leagues.
- QB Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks) – Smith is coming off his bye week and should be able to throw on the Raiders. He should be a top-12 fantasy quarterback this week.
- Miami Dolphins Defense & Special Teams – The Dolphins face the Texans this week, so it’s a no-brainer start.
- RB Cordarrelle Patterson (Atlanta Falcons) – The Falcons offense lost TE Kyle Pitts for the season and they could start using Patterson more in the passing game. He’s the best weapon on offense and needs way more touches.
- WR Darius Slayton (New York Giants) – The Giants lost WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee) for the season. Slayton should get more targets and WR Kenny Golladay could be a nice add for the remainder of the season.
- RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (Miami Dolphins) – Wilson should get plenty of touches against the Texans. He is coming off a bye and should get action in the running and passing game.
- TE Juwan Johnson (New Orleans Saints) – Johnson wasn’t on my radar early this season, but he has turned into a must-start. He has a touchdown reception in four of his last five games.
- WR Demarcus Robinson (Baltimore Ravens) – WR Rashod Bateman (foot) is out and Robinson took over his spot on the depth chart. He could be a nice flex option this week.
- RB Isiah Pacheco (Kansas City Chiefs) – Pacheco has been a trendy waiver wire add in recent weeks and he looked pretty good on Sunday Night Football. The Chiefs are dealing with a lot of injuries on offense and he should benefit against the Rams.
- Denver Broncos Defense & Special Teams – The Broncos defense is underrated this season. Their subpar offense gets all the headlines. They should have a good game against the Panthers.
- QB Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles) – Hurts plays on Sunday Night Football against the Packers. Green Bay’s defense has struggled against top fantasy quarterbacks. Their front-seven just aren’t athletic enough to keep Hurts in the pocket.
SIT’EM
- RB D’Andre Swift (Detroit Lions) – Swift did find the endzone against the Giants, but it looks like he has fallen to RB3 in Detroit. He is losing touches to Justin Jackson and Jamaal Williams.
- QB Marcus Mariota (Atlanta Falcons) – Mariota has been a fantasy dud for most of the season. He has only cracked 200-yard passing mark three times this season. He has ran the ball more this year, but not enough to even be a streaming candidate.
- WR D.J. Moore (Carolina Panthers) – The Panthers have thrown to Moore 82 times this season, but has only been successful 42 times. He hasn’t been a deep target lately and has averaged just 25.6 yards per game over his last three contests.
RB Darrell Henderson (Los Angeles Rams) – The Rams backfield is a mess and Henderson is the least startable in fantasy. He’s fallen down the depth chart behind Cam Akers and Kyren Williams.Henderson was released.- QB Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) – I could see the Packers attempting to run the ball a lot against Philly on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles cornerbacks have the advantage over the Packers young receivers.
- WR Darnell Mooney (Chicago Bears) – As I said above, I believe Jets CB Sauce Gardner will be covering Mooney most of this game. I wouldn’t start any wide receiver that has Gardner lining up on the other side.
- TE Evan Engram (Jacksonville Jaguars) – The Jaguars have a bad match-up this weekend when he faces the Ravens. Over the last two games, he hasn’t been much of a weapon for them. He had a total of four receptions for 22 yards, averaging just 5.5 yards per catch.
- New Orleans Saints Defense & Special Teams – The Saints defense has the task of stopping a hot Niners offense this week. I don’t like their prospects of doing that.
- TE Hunter Henry (New England Patriots) – Over his last four games, he only has a total of seven receptions. He isn’t even a touchdown-or-bust tight end right now, he’s only been a bust.
- Los Angeles Rams Defense & Special Teams – The Rams defense has a lot of respectable names, but they haven’t been very good of late. It doesn’t help that their offense gives them awful field position to defend.
- WR Drake London (Atlanta Falcons) – London has found the endzone in back-to-back games, but he’s been pretty bad since Week 2. He is getting some targets, but he isn’t doing a lot with those. The Falcons passing game is awful and I’d avoid London.
