I have posted numerous times about my love for browser-based games. I enjoy playing them and the look of the games just hits all the nostalgia spots on my brain and soul.
I grew up with console games and have owned just about every generation, but my first true love was computer games. I’m not talking about the games where you need the highest-of-high-end graphics cards and all the RAM available in your county to play. I love simple games like Solitaire, Mahjong and games of that ilk.
I play browser-based games while I ponder my betting picks every week. When I come to a betting line that just freezes my brain, I need to stop and clear my mind and tackle all the stats without bias. I play a few games, unwind and jump back in my research. I love having these games on my browser.
These games used to be very easy to find online, but as more people gravitate to their smart phones to fill that need, I always love to point people to new sites I find where these browser-based games are available for free. Solitaire.Org is the site I found, and don’t let the url fool you, they have much more than just solitaire games on their site. You can find Mahjong, Hidden Object, Connect Three, and other card games.
Here are a few games I found to enjoy and feel free to check them out yourself.
I have had a ton of Mahjong games on my phone over the years, but I usually just play a few games and delete them. Having a browser-based mahjong game that has 245 board configurations will end the install/delete dance. This game was difficult enough to challenge you, but not insane. It also has a calming soundtrack that makes the gameplay enjoyable.
Yes, even when I play a video game, I found a way to wager. This is a single player Texas Hold’em Poker browser-based game where you play against five other competitors (that are all just AIs). No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker is my go-to game in the casino, so it’s just nice to mess around and keep my skills sharp during these current times, when in-person games are few and far between.
I play multiple games of Sudoku every single day. I’ve completed entire books purchased in book stores, and in college, I used to carry a large sudoku book in my backpack (I looked forward to doing those more than homework). The Daily Sudoku on Solitare.org is fun and gives me a new, challenging puzzle to do every day. I like that they give the option of use ‘pencil’ to mark potential answers.
