Who Will Win the 2021 Super Bowl?

It’s happening – NFL season is underway. There won’t be as many fans in the stadiums, nor will there be as many reporters on the side-lines, but otherwise the games are expected to play out exactly as they would in any pre-COVID-19 season.

Is it too early to start predicting which team might win the Super Bowl? Never! Already there have been many discussions about how this season could pan out, including the possible outcomes of each and every game. Below are just a few predictions based on some of the betting odds as to how this season may play out.

The likeliest winners

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently the favorites, which should come as no real surprise. They’ve got a mighty offence (including Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Mecole Herdman, and Sammy Watkins). Then there’s Mahomes, who is right now unstoppable. Can the defending champions win yet again?

The Baltimore Ravens seem like they too could be in for a real shot. They’ve had no major losses throughout the off-season and were incredible to watch in the post season against the Titans. And, of course, they’ve got Lamar Jackson.

The San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are also being touted as likely winners. The Niners have a formidable defense and Jimmy G’s camp performance has been phenomenal, while the Bucs have a particularly strong offence and the power of Tom Brady on their side.

The close contenders

While the New England Patriots can boast the fact that they have Cam Newton on their team, he’s sustained so many injuries over the last few seasons that it’s hard to know how things will play out. If he’s recovered well and is in good form, the Patriots could catch everyone by surprise.

Then there’s the New Orleans Saints. They’ve got a talented offence, even though they lack the superstar power that other teams have. Odds for them to win have been getting better so they could be a team to watch this season.

Meanwhile, if these Dallas Cowboy Super Bowl lines are anything to go by, the Cowboys too could be in for a chance. They’ve got some talented players and played well offensively last season, however the NFC East can be notoriously unpredictable.

The Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles also show promise. In fact, they’ve been placed above the Patriots in terms of odds of winning. Both teams played incredibly well last year and have a well-balanced offence and defense – they’re certain to make some noise this season.

The less likely options

Then there’s everyone else. Right now, the teams with the highest odds stacked up against them are the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams could make a giant leap this season due to offensive line improvements, but it does seem very unlikely either will make it to the Super Bowl.

Anything can change in the next few months – as previous years have shown, one of these teams may well beat the odds. Who are you rooting for?
