Super Bowl 54 is this Sunday and it’s a prop bets smorgasbord.
I LOVE prop bets. I actually get more joy out of betting Super Bowl prop bets than betting against the spread. Yes, most are a crap shoot, but with the right research, you can end up winning bets with very favorable odds.
I’m not saying you can research who will win the coin toss, but there are many other player and team prop bets out there that have nice odds.
Some prop bets aren’t worth the money (the juice isn’t worth the slight risk), but sometimes you just have to lay a few bucks down, cross your fingers and wish for the best.
I picked out some of the most popular (and the most absurd) prop bets for Super Bowl 54 (or Super Bowl LIV for Roman numeral fans)…and we also pick the game against the spread.
Let me know if you’re betting any of these props. Good luck!
How Long Will Demi Lovato’s National Anthem Last?
– Over 122.5 Seconds (-165)
– Under 12.5 Seconds (+125)
I think this one is right where it will end up. She will most definitely go longer than Gladys Knight did last year. I’m not sure if she will clip the two-minute mark though. I’m going bold and going with the under this year.
Prediction: UNDER

How Donald Trump tweet during the Super Bowl (from kick-off until final whistle)?
– Yes (-140)
– No (even)
There’s a lot going on in the president’s world right now. He also has an interview airing during the pre-game. He’s an attention seeker, so I’m sure he will try to sway the people’s attention away from the game a bit and fire out a couple tweets.
Prediction: YES

What Color Gatorade Will be Dumped on the Winning Head Coach?
Red/Pink (+200)
Yellow/Lime/Green (+225)
Clear (+400)
Blue (+500)
Orange (+500)
No Liquid (+800)
This is always a tricky one. My go-to is usually Yellow/Green or Clear, as I feel that no one drinks red Gatorade anymore on the sidelines. I’m going to pick Yellow/Green again this year.
Prediction: YELLOW/GREEN

Coin Toss?
– Heads (-102)
– Tails (-102)
I usually rotate every year and I picked heads last year, so I’ll take tails this year.
Prediction: TAILS

Who Will the Super Bowl MVP Thank First?
Teammates (+140)
God (+225)
Family (+350)
Does Not Thank Anyone on List (+300)
Coach/Owner (+1200)
Fans/City (+500)
MVPs are usually quarterbacks, so you need to have an idea who those guys would thank if they won the Super Bowl MVP. My guess is that his teammates will be the first thing either quarterback will thank in his speech.
Prediction: Teammates

Super Bowl LIV MVP Odds
Patrick Mahomes (+110)
Jimmy Garoppolo (+300)
Raheem Mostert (+650)
Damien Williams (+1500)
George Kittle (+1500)
Travis Kelce (+1500)
Nick Bosa (+2000)
Tyreek Hill (+2000)
Deebo Samuel (+2500)
Sammy Watkins (+3500)
Dee Ford (+5000)
Emmanuel Sanders (+5000)
Matt Breida (+5000)
Tevin Coleman (+5000)
Tyrann Mathieu (+5000)
There are way more long odds for players, but I went to +5000 and anyone not listed have longer odds. I don’t want to tip my game point spread pick, but I’m going with Patrick Mahomes here. The Chiefs have a very good offensive line and I think they will give Mahomes time to have a good game.
Prediction: Patrick Mahomes

Total Points – Over/Under
– OVER 54.5 (-110)
– UNDER 54.5 (-110)
The over was hit hard when the lines were put up last week. I think there is still some value there. Vegas has only raised the point total by a point, so that does give me a little pause. Vegas could be setting themselves up for a huge payday if the point total hits the under. I think the Niners will have to open up their offense after the Chiefs get a few early scores.
Prediction: OVER

Point Spread
– San Francisco 49ers (+1.5)
– Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5)
The Niners defense got them to the Super Bowl, but they will need their offense to step up in this game. The Chiefs offense has been incredible since about Week 15 and they just look unstoppable. Kansas City’s defense should be good enough to limit the Niners offense and could stop them and force field goals. I have to take the Chiefs in this game as they just appear like the team that is playing their best at the right time.
Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5)
