2020 NFL Wild Card Playoff Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

Kirk Cousins dottedI finished the year 145-109-7 against the spread during the NFL regular season.

Since there aren’t many games in the playoffs, I also pick over/under point totals as well.

These four games are pretty close, so we aren’t seeing any double-digit point spreads like we’ve seen the last few Wild Card Weekends.

Can the Seahawks win as a favorite while on the road in Philly this weekend?

Can the Patriots bounce back from a bad loss against the Dolphins?

We pick every NFL Wild Card Weekend game against the spread.

Since there are only four games this weekend, as a bonus I will also pick the over/under for each game.

Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans (-2.5) – over/under (44) – My pick is Houston Texans and UNDER

The Texans may not have wow’d you in every game this season, but they were very good at home. They finished the season strong and won the AFC South. This game will not be pretty. I think the Bills defense will confuse the Texans at times and the Bills offense could struggle just because they are limited on that side of the ball. This is a big game for both teams, but I have to take the Texans to cover at home.

Tennessee Titans at New England Patriots (-5) – over/under (44) – My pick is New England Patriots and UNDER

The Patriots may not have a crazy explosive offense this year, but their defense is right up there among the best this season. The Titans have surprised people in most games since QB Ryan Tannehill took over as the starter. They will have a uphill battle against this Patriots defense. My guess is that the Pats will focus on stopping the run and making Tannehill beat them with his arm. The Patriots have a lot of game tape against Tannehill as he was a starter for Miami for a handful of years. The Patriots should cover at home against the Titans and I’m taking the under.

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (-8) – over/under (50) – My pick is Minnesota Vikings and OVER

This should be a fun game to watch. The Vikings come in with a chip on their shoulder as they are a biggest underdogs this week. Vikings QB Kirk Cousins isn’t getting much love right now, even though he has improved greatly since the start of the season. They’ve fought some nagging injuries this season and they earned their Wild Card berth. The Saints survived a large portion of the season without QB Drew Brees and they are playing better their best football right now. I get why they are favored by a lot this week. I still think the Vikings will make a game of it. I’m taking the points and the over.

Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles (+1.5) – over/under (46) – My pick is Philadelphia Eagles and UNDER

The Seahawks are falling apart and they’ve had to sign some guys just to field a team. They were very good for most of the season, but they desperately need a running game to win in the playoffs. The Eagles are on a four-game winning streak and they are finally getting healthy after struggling with injuries all season. Philly may not be as good as their last two playoff squads, but I think they will keep this game close and possibly win. I’m taking the points and the under.
