They are instructed to be warm and polite with customers at all times, but, there are certain annoying habits of customers in a coffee shop that the managers hate to the core. Although you might not have intended to, if you are guilty of any of the following activities in a coffee shop, then the manager has probably prayed that you never show up again. And, be careful, if you don’t keep a check on yourself they might just get back at you by serving you sneezers.
Let’s have a look…
Taking a long time to pay
Coffee shops hate clumsy payers. While there’s a long queue waiting behind you, they don’t expect you to take your own sweet time counting the cash, or maybe recalling the correct pin of your card. They expect customers to be ready and subsequently quick with their payments so as to be able to save time for everyone.
Complaining about the music
When you complain about their choice of music and request for a change, you really put them in a spot. It is practically impossible to cater to the tastes and choices of all customers in terms of music. A coffee shop is authorized to play the kind of music they consider preferable for most of their customers or that which is aligned to their theme or vibe. So you nagging and complaining about it is a pain in their ass.
Asking them if a specific item is good
According to them, they haven’t opened a café, taken the pain to get a specific snack or beverage prepared and got them printed on the menu with the intention of making their customers consume something bad. If they have chosen to sell it, then of course they think it’s good. You have to decide for yourself if this is the kind of recipe that you would enjoy, or whether it suits your personal taste.
Turning the table into your office
This is a classic mistake and something coffee shop workforces can’t stand. You can’t just order a tiny cup of coffee and keep occupying the table there for hours. A coffee shop isn’t your office or your library. They don’t mind you relaxing with a book or laptop while enjoying your order, but when you take that liberty for granted, it’s annoying. Either place orders commensurate to the time you spend there or make way for genuine customers.
