I’m a big fan of time-wasting casual games to play on my phone and tablet. I’m probably ‘too much’ of a fan as I’m usually playing five or six games at a time throughout the day. I’m usually only playing them for a few minutes at a time, but I’m often nose-first in my phone while watching television.
Since I play so many of these games, I feel like I am a good judge of quality of these time wasters. Many games have came and went off my Samsung devices, so these are five games that I’ve been playing for awhile and don’t see future uninstall in the near future.
These games can be found on Google Play (and possibly the Apple App Store). I’m not an iPhone or iPad guy, so I can’t comment if the releases are different on that platform. I enjoy these games on my Android devices and think the developers really knocked it out of the park with these mobile games.
Pocket Politics
Pocket Politics is a casual simulation game that let’s you be a conservative or liberal while taking shortcuts to win elections. The added perk is that they have a weekly side game that let’s you earn gold and other perks that will help you earn more money in the main game.
I’ve been playing this game for months and the weekly bonus game competition keeps this game fresh. The weekly bonus games come in a few different modes and it’s not the same one every week. It’s a fun mobile game that pokes fun at the American political system.
AdVenture Capitalist
AdVenture Capitalist is made by the same company (Kongregate) that created Pocket Politics. This game is another casual simulation game that allows the player to invest money in various rackets and even on different planets. You don’t need to have any advanced investment knowledge or have experience with energy contract management software. This mobile game is a fantasy investing game where it is impossible to lose.
I’ve been playing this game the longest as I installed it almost four years ago. The gameplay gets a fresh coat of paint with updates and it’s a fun casual game that doesn’t take a ton of time, but you will find yourself playing it multiple times a day.
We Happy Restaurant
Now let’s talk about the casual game that is one of the newest on my phone, We Happy Restaurant. Don’t let the name confuse you as it isn’t one of those cooking simulator games that the gameplay is to fill customer orders. This game allows the player to persuade customers to come into our sketchy restaurant and the more the customers eat, the more they mutate into different creatures.
The player has to upgrade the menu options and increase the size of the restaurant. I’ve been playing this game for a couple weeks and it’s been fun. The game isn’t technically released as it is in pre-release mode. The game is being fixed and improved with every update. I am anxious to see what this game will become over the coming months.
Toy Blast
Toy Blast is a casual time-wasting game in the same vein as Candy Crush, but much easier and you don’t have to spend a dime to advance farther in the game. Candy Crush is just a money grab and Toy Blast has free upgrades that allows you to play hours with unlimited lives.
This game also connects with Facebook and you can play against friends to advance the most levels. I’ve been playing this game for well over a year and there are well over 1,000 levels. It’s a fun game you will never feel pressure to buy any upgrades.
Taps To Riches
‘Tap$ to Riche$’ is a tapping game at first, but it gradually turns into a regular casual real estate simulator. It’s not a realistic real estate simulator, but it’s a fun time-wasting game that will keep you interested for a long time.
After you advance from the first stage, you keep adding new worlds to purchase real estate. You earn currency to buy upgrades that are really, really need to advance in this game. If you don’t use your currency wisely, it will take you a long time before you advance in the game.
I hope you enjoyed our list of five fun casual time-wasting mobile games on Google Play.
