We are here to help you fill out your brackets and finally beat your cubicle neighbor in your office pool this year.
Virginia came into this season as a possible title contender in the ACC. They ran out of gas near the end of the season, but are still a formidable contender due to their defense.
The CAA isn’t known for their performances in the NCAA Tournament. Rarely has any CAA team upset an opponent, but UNC Wilmington has a shot to do it.
Can UNC Wilmington upset Virginia in the first round?
Who do you think will win? We help you fill out your bracket.
The Virginia Cavaliers started out the season red hot. They won 11 of their first 12 games, but they could not keep it going. They limped at the end of the year and at one point lost six of eight games. They just go through dry spells on offense that last for extended periods of time. If they can avoid those droughts, they will be a tough out.
The UNC Wilmington Seahawks might not have much size, but they can score points in a hurry. They have the 10th-best scoring offense in Division-I. C.J. Bryce, Chris Flemmings and Denzel Ingram run the offense and have the green light to chuck up shots whenever and wherever they wish.
The Virginia Cavaliers have the #1 defense in Division-I. They only give up 55.6 points per game. The Seahawks will be a tough opponent and this game should be tight. I have to go with the Seahawks to pull off the big upset win.
Prediction: #12 UNC-Wilmington Seahawks
