#8 North Carolina (24-10) vs. #9 Villanova (20-13) will be fun to watch. It might not be fun for Nova, but there should get plenty fast breaks.
North Carolina coach Roy Williams changed the lineup midseason and the Tar Heels are rejuvenated.
Villanova has depth and the ability to get to the free throw line, but that approach could be thrown out if Carolina starts running.

The North Carolina Tar Heels will always be a threat in the NCAA Tournament. Roy Williams prepares his teams and is not afraid to make adjustments on the fly. The decision to put James Michael McAdoo in the low post was genius. He is a long player, but didn’t previously have experience playing under the basket.
Tar Heels point guard Marcus Paige is the most improved player on the team. The freshman shares the distribution duties with senior Dexter Strickland. If they get out of the first round, Kansas should be very afraid.
Villanova had a rough start to the season. They lost to Alabama, Columbia and La Salle in a row back in November. Their reckless offense often gets Nova in trouble by committing too many turnovers. North Carolina is one of the best teams at stealing the ball in the country. Five players on Carolina average over one steal per game.
I predict North Carolina to win the game. Villanova commits too many turnovers and the Tar Heels will get many fast break opportunities…their specialty.
Prediction: #8 North Carolina Tar Heels
