2013 March Madness: #7 Notre Dame vs #10 Iowa State

Notre+Dame+Highlighter+Green+JerseyIf you like high-scoring games, you need to watch #7 Notre Dame (25-9) vs. #10 Iowa State (22-11) game Friday night.

Notre Dame has one of the most efficient offenses in the country and Iowa State can also put up points, but their defense is very weak.

If Notre Dame wears their bright green highlighter jersey, they might blind Iowa State and win by a landslide.

Who do you think will win? We help you fill out your bracket.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have one of the most underrated coaches in college basketball, Mike Brey. He gets the most out of the talent has had on the roster. Year after year, he never has a team that under performs.

This season, Jerian Grant and Jack Cooley are the grinders on Notre Dame. They wait for the best shot and pass the ball with accuracy. The Irish always show up for big games. Iowa State will have their hands full.

The Iowa State Cyclones have an up-tempo offense, but often gives up open looks defensively. ISU will have trouble with Notre Dame’s patience and effectiveness.

Utah transfer Will Clyburn is the star on Iowa State. The Cyclones have a string of successful transfers who have range. Coach Fred Hoiberg loves to teach what he excelled at when he was a player, making it rain from behind the arc. Iowa State made and attempted the most three pointers in the country.

Iowa State and Notre Dame can both score from the perimeter. The Cyclones are better at the three, but the Irish will have open looks inside and from mid-range. For that reason, I have Notre Dame beating Iowa State on Friday night.

Prediction: #7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
