Mad+Rick+Pitino+White+Suit+LouisvilleThe lead game in the Midwest bracket has #1 seed Louisville (29-5) playing the winner of the play-in game between North Carolina A&T and Liberty to determine the #16 seed..

No matter who wins the play-in game, they face an uphill battle. Louisville’s roster is one of the best Rick Pitino’s has recruited while at the school.

My pick will not surprise anyone.

Who do you think will win? We help you out.

The Louisville Cardinals are lead by Russ Smith, Gorgui Dieng and Peyton Silva. They are one of the hottest teams in the country. They confirmed their dominance by winning the Big East Tournament.

Louisville has won 13 of the last 14 games. Their only loss coming in a five-overtime loss to Notre Dame. A team they’ve beaten twice in the last two weeks.

Louisville is an experienced team that could win it all. Their best players are juniors and seniors, which is important in the tournament. After they beat the play-in game winner, they have a predicted Final Four path of Colorado State, St. Louis and Duke.

The Midwest bracket has three of the best coaches of all-time. Mike Krzyzewski, Tom Izzo and Rick Pitino have all won national championships. It’s inevitable that these coaches will meet at some point.

Prediction: #1 Louisville Cardinals
