2017 NFL Conference Championship Games – Betting Picks Against Spread

ad2f41fc812a1b1ba3c16295e1d14e6027a3930f9ec1aaa67a65b380f6e514e6_largeI ended up going .500 against the spread and over/unders last week. I was burned by Seattle and many of the overs hit. I wasn’t as bullish on the scoring, just like this week.

Both conference championship games are rematches from games in late-October. All four teams were without at least one major player in those games. Heck, Ben Roethlisberger didn’t even play in their loss at home to the Patriots.

Which former teammates back will make the biggest impact on the ground in the Steelers/Patriots game, Le’Veon Bell or LeGarrette Blount?

We pick every NFL Conference Championship games against the spread.

Since there are only two games this weekend, as a bonus I will also pick the over/under for each game.

Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons (-5) – over/under (59.5) – My pick is Green Bay Packers & UNDER

The Packers are on a roll. They have won eight-straight games and are 7-1 ATS during this stretch. Atlanta beat Green Bay 33-32 in late-October. This was during the Packers running back issues before they found out Ty Montgomery could do the job. Both Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan had great numbers in that game. Rodgers threw four touchdowns and Ryan had three, and neither quarterback threw an interception. The Packers streak could end this weekend, but I think the game will be close. The over/under could also be cutting it close, but I’ll take the under.

Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots (-6) – over/under (50.5) – My pick is New England Patriots & UNDER

Both teams come into this game on big winning streaks. Pittsburgh has won nine games in a row (7-1-1 ATS) and New England has won eight-straight (7-1 ATS). They faced each other in late-October when the Patriots beat the Steelers at Heinz Field 27-16. QB Ben Roethlisberger was injured and didn’t play. This game is a hard one to pick. The Pats have been covering some crazy spreads, so they are really hard to pick against. The Steelers are such a great playoff team, so I am at odds. I have to go with the Pats at home and the under…both could be close.
